East Africa has one of the largest abundance of birds compared to anywhere else on earth, where over 1300 species are found. Because of the variety of habitat types, from dry bush to grasslands to salt lakes, to riverine forests, the diversity of birds is spectacular. East Africa also contains important centres of endemism, which shelter extremely rare species with very restricted ranges.
Over this particular safari, you will be accompanied by some of the regions best birders and ornithological experts, who will be more than willing to share their vast knowledge and expertise with you. The main areas of interest that will be visited are the alkaline and freshwater lakes of the rift valley, riverine and coastal forests, savannah grasslands and the semi-arid deserts of Northern Kenya.
